~Tips on applying your first few steps of makeup~
You want to start with a clean freshly ex-foliated surface, Then you want prep your canvas by applying your moisturizer and primer. This will prepare you for that gorgeous flawless look. Good, soft makeup brushes play a big role in the way your application will look.
Step one-Concealer, you want to start with a creamy, opaque concealer with your finger around the eyes, nostrils,sides of your mouth, and chin. You don't want to use a liquid formula because they don't give enough coverage for dark circles,redness, and blemishes. Next you want to gently blend the product in with your finger tip.
Step two-Foundation, not everyone needs foundation.so when using liquid foundation you want to start by dabbing it onto your forehead, cheeks,jawline and chin using your fingers or a sponge gently blending in. When using powder foundation, you want to use a flat buffing powder brush and apply in circular motions buffing it into the skin, this will give you a lasting flawless look.
Step three-Highlighting,not every application will need highlighting, but if you feel you want to do this step here is the way to achieve that bright angelic glow. Your going to want to take a shade lighter than you skin tone, you can use a concealer,powder, cream -to-powder foundation or a foundation stick. then you want to Dot the product on your cheekbones, center of your forehead, along the bridge of your nose, tip of the chin, and under the cheek-line, then blend with your fingers or a sponge.
Step four- Matte finish or Dewey finish to your canvas. You want to start for a matte look with a sponge and use loose translucent powder under the eyes,brows,down the nose and on the chin. you want to do this in a pressing rolling motion. This will help your makeup last all day. Now for the Dewey look you will skip the powder and just blot the foundation with a tissue to remove any shine.
Now you are ready to apply your eyeshadow, mascara, blush and lipstick / gloss.
Key elements when choosing the right colors is to go with earth tones if you are not sure, never go bold. Just because you see a look on someone else does not mean that look may be right for you.
